Stay in your lane and keep your distance
With lane changing and unpredictable traffic conditions, it can be difficult to keep a safe distance from other road users. But with ID. 4 Pro’s Travel Assist, it’s easy. That’s because it incorporates Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Lane Assist1 . This offers a hands‑on, semi‑autonomous driving assistant that helps you steer, accelerate, brake and stay in your lane.
Thinking of you if the unthinkable happens
If you’re unable to drive because of a medical emergency, Emergency Assist will notice and respond with targeted measures. For example, if your hands fall from the wheel, the Emergency Assist1 will use visual, audio and tactile warnings to alert you. If needed, it’ll even safely slow your vehicle to a controlled stop.
Safety ahead of time
Sometimes you can’t see potentially dangerous situations coming. Luckily, the Proactive Occupant Protection System1 can. And will automatically take precautions depending on the situation. It does this in the following ways. Tightening seatbelts and reducing speed to protect the driver and front passenger. Opening the windows and sunroof a crack to optimise airbag effectiveness. Activating the hazard lights.
An all-round view
Manoeuvring in a busy city centre, a multi‑storey car park or rough terrain. There are many situations where drivers could use a few extra eyes. With the optional ‘Area View’,1 you’ll get just that and more. While driving, four cameras will capture the area around the car and transmit helpful insights to the infotainment system’s screen. For example, you’ll be able to see curbs or parking markings better and can even look around corners.
Always have the right light
The ID. 4 Pro comes with Dynamic Light Assist.1 The system automatically recognises oncoming traffic and adjusts brightness to avoid dazzling fellow drivers. In built‑up areas, the system can also switch between main beam and dipped beam. This means you’ll have maximum visibility and won’t need to switch manually between high and low beams.1.
